Met kerst vind ik het altijd leuk om vrolijke displays te maken in mijn huis. Deze display heb ik gemaakt met de 'Angel Wings' van ontwerper Koray Ozgen en te koop bij Yurtcollection. Met deze grappige vleugels kun je elke kaars opfleuren!
Ook kon ik het niet laten om nog een DIY te maken. Dit keer heb ik een paar vintage kandelaars gepimpt door ze half te verven met spuitverf. Zo zien ze er weer fris en hip uit! Hoe maak je deze?
Dit heb je nodig:
- houten kandelaars ( van de kringloopwinkel)
- spuitverf in diverse kleuren
- vuilniszak of plastic zak
Maak de kandelaars goed schoon en stofvrij. Spuit de verf vanaf onder naar boven tot halverwege. Natuurlijk kun je dit ook andersom doen. Je hoeft niets af te plakken, het is juist leuk als het niet helemaal recht is. Laat de kandelaars goed drogen op een vuilniszak of plastic zak.
Ik wens iedereen gezellige kerstdagen en maak er een spetterend nieuwjaar van met veel kleur en vrolijkheid!

At Christmas time I always like to make cozy displays in my home. This display is made with the 'Angel Wings' from designer Koray Ozgen and for sale at Yurtcollection. These funny wings can brighten up each candle!
Also, I could not resist making a DIY. This time I have pimped acouple of vintage candlesticks by half-painting them with spray paint. So they look cool and hip! How do you make these?
What you need:
- old wooden candlesticks (from the thriftshop )
- spray paint in various colors
- garbage bag or plastic bag
Clean the candlesticks and make them dust free. Spray the paint from the bottom up halfway. Of course you can also do the reverse. You don't need tape, it's just nice when the paint it's not quite straight. Let the candlesticks dry in a garbage bag or plastic bag.
